Medical Assisting

The objective of the Medical Assisting Program is to provide students with instruction and clinical training to pursue a career in Healthcare. The Medical Assistant plays a key role in delivering patient education and patient care. Students will gain knowledge in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, phlebotomy, EKG, clinical office procedures and medical law and ethics.

The Medical Assistant Program is a comprehensive course to include 460 hours of class instruction taught through a combination of lecture, lab and clinical exercises on site.

Graduates of this program will receive a Certificate of Completion in Medical Assisting upon having met all program requirements in both didactic and lab.

Students must be at least 18 years of age and have ownership of a high school diploma or GED.
